JIOFC Funament Breaks Record for Attendance and Fun!!!
The Funament held Saturday Feb 16th was a major hit! 14 boats participated and close to 75 people showed up for the cookout afterward!
The Jib Club proved again to be the perfect venue for fishin', food & fun as kids fished from the docks, kids of all ages used the pool, and everyone had their fill of food and beverages!
The boat with the best catch was captained by "Mayor" Jimmy Casto. With kingfish, dolphin & smapper, his largest 5 fish totalled 55 pounds!. Second place went to "Scuba Steve" Anderson with dolphin, wahoo and snapper totalling over 40 pounds. Virtually every boat (except Gary Lavalee on Jupiter Moose!) brought in some kind of catch for the fish fry/cookout. We had a grill goin' under the pavillion and a deep fryer going on the stones in the corner... It was estimated that over 100 pounds of fish were cooked - and of course devoured!
Check out the fun!
